Anglican Communion secretary general visits Massachusetts church
[Anglican Communion News Service] The Rt. Rev. Anthony Poggo, secretary general of the Anglican Communion, visited the Church of the Advent in Boston, Massachusetts, this week. He met with Massachusetts Bishop Julia Whitworth, clergy and laity, and preached during Sunday worship services.
Poggo described his May 2-4 visit as a “valuable opportunity to learn about the ministry of the diocese.”
“I enjoyed learning more about what ministry looks like in this part of the [Anglican] Communion and seeing the vital role the church plays as part of the worldwide Anglican family,” he said.
