Scottish church receives award for stewardship of the environment

[The Scottish Episcopal Church] St. Serf’s Episcopal Church in Burntisland, Scotland, received a special environmental award Sept. 1 as the congregation celebrated the first Sunday in the Season of Creation. Eco-Congregation Scotland trustee Finton Hurley presented the organization’s Bronze Award for stewardship of the environment to Geoff Smith, convenor of St. Serf’s Eco Group.

The Rev. Carol Latimer said, “At St. Serf’s, Burntisland, we’re making a serious effort to put the stewardship of creation at the heart of our church life.”
