[Anglican Communion News Service] Young people with a passion for theology are being invited to submit articles, poetry, video or art contributions expressing their views on the ecology and climate, in the next publishing cycle from Young Anglican Theology.
Working in partnership with the Anglican Communion Youth Network, Young Anglican Theology is a gathering of young people aged 18-40 across the Anglican Communion that seeks to connect, encourage and empower young Anglicans with a passion for theology.
The group is inviting Anglican youth to share submissions on a range of topics, including ecclesiology and climate change; the effects of climate change on the church; the fifth Mark of Mission (which is to treasure the Earth), and liturgy and creation.
Contributions will be published on the Young Anglican Theology website, along with a short video interview introducing the young people behind the theology, and talking about their hopes for the future of Anglican theology. Contributors will receive support from the Young Anglican Theology publishing team to develop their piece for publication.
The project aims to provide a platform for anyone with a passion for engaging with theology in creative ways and emphasizes that contributors do not need formal theological training.
Young Anglicans worldwide are encouraged to submit their work by Jan. 31. Contributions can be made through the project website or by email.
Examples of previous contributions can be viewed on the Young Anglican Theology website here.
